Acts 3:14-4:4

¹⁴But you denied ^(A)the Holy and ^(B)Righteous One, and ^(C)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵and you killed ^(D)the Author of life, ^(E)whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. ¹⁶And ^(F)his name—by ^(G)faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is ^(H)through Jesus^[a] has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

¹⁷“And now, brothers, I know that ^(I)you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. ¹⁸But what God ^(J)foretold ^(K)by the mouth of all the prophets, that ^(L)his Christ would ^(M)suffer, he thus fulfilled. ¹⁹^(N)Repent therefore, and ^(O)turn back, that ^(P)your sins may be blotted out, ²⁰that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ ^(Q)appointed for you, Jesus, ²¹^(R)whom heaven must receive until the time for ^(S)restoring all the things about which ^(T)God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. ²²Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you ^(U)a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen ^(V)to him in whatever he tells you. ²³And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet ^(W)shall be destroyed from the people.’ ²⁴And ^(X)all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days. ²⁵^(Y)You are the sons of the prophets and of ^(Z)the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ^(AA)‘And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ ²⁶^(AB)God, ^(AC)having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, ^(AD)to bless you ^(AE)by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

4 And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and ^(AF)the captain of the temple and ^(AG)the Sadducees came upon them, ²greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming ^(AH)in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. ³And they arrested them and ^(AI)put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. ⁴But many of those who had heard the word believed, and ^(AJ)the number of the men came to about five thousand.
